The National Petroleum Company (ENAP) will study the production of synthetic fuels in its refineries. Therefore, ENAP has signed a memorandum of understanding with the companies Ferrostaal Chile and INERATEC, which will carry out feasibility studies.

Within the framework of iaa mobility 2023 in Munich, German Federal Minister of Transport Volker Wissing has invited to an International e-Fuel Conference. A meeting of experts from industry and academia as well as politicians from 11 countries that highlighted the global ramp-up and deployment of synthetic fuels based on electricity and CO2.

INERATEC and GIZ collaborte to push e-Fuel production in Chile

E-fuels production in Chile is being scaled-up. Collaboration between INERATEC and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in the projectH2Uppp. In the framework of the "International Hydrogen Ramp-Up" program, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the potential for the production of synthetic fuels is being evaluated. The aim is to establish the sustainable value chain in Chile.
